We came to Little Washington from Durham, NC. Strolled downtown and along the docks, ate at a few restaurants, shopped at a few shops, and drank at a few bars. On the way out of town we decided to make a stop at Mom's Grill because we saw the great reviews, and OMG did this place make our entire trip. I was not prepared for cheese STUFFED biscuits. I could have died happy after the first bite. Do yourself a favor. Make the drive. Make the stop.

I stumbled along this place just passing through. I happen to be scrolling through Yelp looking for breakfast somewhere. I was road tripping but unfortunately they were not a lot of great reviews for places along these country roads. As they drove by this place caught my attention and I wanted to see just outta curiosity what reviews were written. To my surprise this place is a big deal for their biscuits. I made a U turn, parked and went inside. Yes this is an old repurchased gas station/grocery store/stopping point for locals to buy lottery tickets and beer. I told the lady behind the counter people are talking about how good the biscuits are and she said try one you will see. I had missed the breakfast rush by a couple of hours and they still had a few biscuits on hand. She added a slice of ham to this buttery, cheesy biscuit. The photos just don't do this buiscuit justice! This was a good biscuit, she offered me a second but I really didn't have room, it was filling. Biscuits are a big deal and I really enjoyed it. If I have the chance to pass through in the future I will definitely stop off. Unfortunately for me it's not very easy to get too because it's off the major highways connecting Virginia and North Carolina.

We drove over an hour from Bayboro to try the cheese biscuits. It was 14 dollars for four biscuits and soooooo worth every cent. They look small in the picture, but are about the size of your palm.
